                                                                 About Us
Here in the Louisville, Kentucky area, the Waldorf movement in education has been alive  since Jane Morton Norton told stories of gnomes and fairies to her grandchildren back in the 1950's.  With some inspiration, fertilization and pruning from those at  the Steiner College in California, Antioch New England in New Hampshire, and Spring Valley in New York, we have grown into a sturdy network.
Right now there is a Waldorf School for birth to 5th grade in the Lyndon area, an accredited teacher training program for Waldorf methods at Foxhollow Farm, a Cadre of teachers who use the Waldorf methods in the public and parochial school systems. and a home-school cooperative.  All work to bring this healthy form of education to the children of our area.
Donations of ideas come from all of the above and are happily shared here to benefit the fortunate children and their teachers who search for inspiration.
We welcome the stories of your classroom.

It the intention of this website to store and share stories and ideas from real teachers who are actively implementing Waldorf methods and encourage those who wish to hone their skills.
