Waldorf-Inspired Cadre Calendar
2010/2011 School Year
September
10, 11, and 12 – Betty Staley, Waldorf Educator from Rudolf Steiner
College will offer a Friday night lecture (7-9)on parenting, a Saturday
workshop on teaching history and multicultural education in the Waldorf School
(9-1), and a Sunday morning study session on Steiner’s “Outline of Esoteric
Science”. All events will be held
at Foxhollow Farm and are free and open to the public.
September
25 – Mary Holden will present a
workshop entitled “Classroom Management the Waldorf Way”. This workshop will be held at the
Waldorf School of Louisville and is free and open to the public. 9-12.
October
30 – Angie Mobley and Ida Palmer-Ball will present a workshop
on felting. We will begin
the workshop with Eurythmy with Mary
Ruud. Participants will make
felted dolls and hats. This
workshop will be held at Foxhollow Farm and is free and open to the
public. 9-1.
November
10 – Join seasoned Cadre members as they present a workshop to interested JCPS
colleagues entitled “An Introduction to
Waldorf Education”. This
workshop is free and open to the public.
4-7 pm. Place TBA.
February
11 and 12 – “The Extra Lesson” retreat. Come out to Foxhollow Farm and enjoy a meal with friends and
colleagues, an introductory lecture on the Extra Lesson and a half-day workshop
where you will learn techniques and activities to do with your own
students. “The Extra Lesson” is a
Waldorf-inspired approach to working with children with special needs. This lecture/workshop is free and open
to the public.
March
19 – Waldorf-inspired Cadre Showcase. Come and see all of the creative things
members of the cadre are doing with their students. This workshop will be held at Foxhollow Farm and is free and
open to the public. 9-12.
Mary
21 and 22 – Cadre Retreat. Join us at Parker’s Landing, a
beautiful country home in Bardstown, Ky.
Spend the day or pack a bag and spend the night. This is a chance to unwind and soak up
some country air and Cadre friendship.
10 am Sat. to 12 noon Sunday.
June
20 – July 1 – Waldorf-inspired Summer
