Waldorf Summer Institute

M-F, 8:30 – 4:30


This institute will integrate best practices and brain based research with Waldorf curriculum and pedagogy. 
The institute will cover:

    * Language Arts Curriculum in the Waldorf Grade School

     *Art II, featuring block and stick crayon drawing, colored pencil, perspective, and charcoal drawing,     
               painting,  and movement/games.

     *Movement, music, drama, poetry and storytelling

     *Correlating National Standards with the Waldorf Language Arts Curriculum

     *Eurythmy and Singing

     *An introduction to Waldorf Education (for newcomers)

     *Anthroposophical Study Course  - “The Four Temperaments”

The institute will provide a framework for teachers to reflect and evaluate on their own practice, knowledge, skills and dispositions and on their growth in becoming highly effective educators.

The institute offers 6 hours of graduate credit toward a Masters in Education or a Kentucky Rank One and JCPS Professional Development. 

The cost is $300.00 per credit hour. 
For those who do not want graduate credit, the institute fee is $750.00 .


Partial/Limited Scholarships available for graduate credit as well as for those not opting for graduate credit.
